Now that there’s an obvious nip in the air, I’ll be consuming more hot things and less cold things.

That means steaming bowls of oatmeal for breakfast (and dinner) instead of refreshing smoothies.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be gulping down plenty of smoothies, just not on a daily basis like during the good ole summer.

I had a perfectly ripened pear on hand, so I decided to whip up a comforting bowl of oats brimming with diced pear and cozy fall flavors.

Like pumpkin pie spice and maple.

Yummmm me!

This mouth-watering bowl of oats comes together in under 10 minutes–thanks to quick-cooking oats–so you can be filling your belly in no time.

Along with our oats, all you need is a pinch of sea salt, pumpkin pie spice, pure vanilla extract, pure maple syrup, one small juicy pear, unsweetened unflavored coconut almond milk, nutty creamy almond butter, and crunchy granola!

Now I’m not going to lie, this oatmeal turned out even better than I was expecting!

I guess it’s hard to go wrong with seasonal fruit and nut butter, let’s be honest.

And I would go as far to say that this here is potential dessert material…

P.S. As usual, taste and adjust the ingredient amounts to make your taste buds as happy as possible. I like serving my oats with an extra drizzle of maple syrup and a big ole blob of almond butter.

P.P.S. Make sure your oats are certified gluten-free if you’re wanting a true gluten-free nosh fest.

P.P.S. Don’t you dare even consider using instant oatmeal unless you enjoy consuming hot soggy saw dust.
