Simple Summer Pasta Salad with Tomatoes, Basil & Feta | Living Healthy in Seattle

It’s about time for another pasta recipe.

I eat pasta all the time, after all.

My sister always requests pasta dishes… and loves going out for pasta.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard “pasta with vodka sauce!!!!!” I’d be one rich human being.

Pasta pasta pasta.

You’d think I’d get sick of it.

But pasta dishes can be quick, easy, filling, cheap and healthy (let’s not forget delicious), so it’s hard to turn my nose up at such awesomeness.

I mean, what was missing from that list? (Besides Justin Bieber, of course.)

My favorite tomatoes are in town, therefore those addictive suckers had to be included this time around.

I’m talking about amazing baby orange tomatoes.

You really haven’t had a tomato until you’ve experienced one of these.

So sumptuously sweet!

So mouthwateringly juicy!

So perfect for a summer pasta salad.

Whole wheat fusilli, garlic olive oil, candy-like orange tomatoes, tangy feta, fresh basil and spicy red pepper flakes will make Aunt Ethel’s mayo laden pasta salad look a little sadder than normal.

P.S. Yes yes you can use regular red tomatoes (or yellow for that matter) but try to get your hands on some orange.

P.P.S. The IFBC is coming up in just a couple months and I cannot wait to enjoy free food, more free food and meet lots of cool food bloggers! (Don’t tell anyone, but last year I went back for seconds… erm thirds a couple times. Cupcake Royale will do that to you hehe.)
