Who wants dessert for breakfast?

Meee, me over here!

Now don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed a fat slice of straight up pie for breakfast before.

As well as 328 too many bowls of Frosted Flakes.

(Frosted Flakes is actually dessert, you know.)

But there is a way to enjoy a sweet tasting breakfast minus all of that added sugar.

Um and guess what?

This recipe has absolutely zero added sugar.

Zilch, zip, nada!

Anddd there are only four ingredients involved.

This whole thing is starting to sound a bit too good to be true.

Like Prince Charming, puppies that magically come potty trained, and babies that never cry.

But trust me on this one, really.

All you need is unsweetened original almond milk, chocolatey cacao powder (or cocoa, don’t get your undies in a bunch over the difference), a big ole plop of creamy peanut butter, and frozen extra ripe banana slices.

Yep, the banana contributes all of the sweetness so those babies better be freckled up good before you treat them to an icebox sesh.

Blend, pour, gulp… and repeat.

P.S. If you like a slightly thinner, slightly less banana forward smoothie, decrease them bananas to 1 cup.

P.P.S. If you’re a diva like me, top your smoothie with a drizzle of melted peanut butter and a sprinkle of crunchy granola.

P.P.P.S. I suppose unsweetened vanilla almond milk would work perfectly fine, I’ve just never given that version a shot.
